August

The sound of cicadas. Fog rising during the twilight hours. County fairs and evening concerts. The scent of goldenrod heavy in the air. Fall peaking around the corner with the coolness of the early mornings. Summer's heat still clinging to the afternoon. Babysitting nephews. People watching at the airport. Late-night runs to the diner for milkshakes. Plays in the park. Frozen pizza. Summer's last ballgames. Afternoons with the girls. Morning phone calls on the drive to work. Stopping by WholeFoods to eat lunch via their free samples. Jumping in the pool.

The little things.

Ben and Meghan: Engagement

On a sunny, late September evening, I met up with Ben and Meghan for their engagement session. These two. What a beautiful, beautiful couple! They barely needed any prompting from me ... they were so very happy to be with one another that it naturally showed. My favorite part of the evening? Watching Meghan's face light up every time she looked at Ben!

Congratulations Ben and Meghan! Thank you for allowing me to capture this moment in your lives, and I pray that the Lord continues to bless you abundantly as you prepare for marriage!

Kelsie: Senior

On a blustery October day, I met this lovely senior at Nina's Coffee Cafe, a St. Paul favorite of both of ours! Coffee in hand we strolled this beautiful historical section of the city and ended our time down by the water with a beautiful view of St. Paul's skyline!

I wish you all the best with your senior year Kelsie! Your gentle gracefulness was a joy to photograph!

Seth and Victoria: Engagement

This couple. What an absolute treasure! The way that Seth looks at Victoria with absolute wonder is enough to make your heart melt while it is very evident that Victoria cherishes her beloved. Despite being the coldest day that November had seen up till that point, these two kept one another laughing the entire entire evening. We walked along the Mississippi River in St. Paul, and then finished our session at the library where Victoria had spent much of her time doing her master's program.

Victoria and Seth: I cannot wait to see where your life together takes you. I know the Lord has much in store for your beautiful hearts!
